Advertising/Affiliate Sales Conversion Tracking
(Google, Overture and Affiliate Conversion tracking)
It's important to track your affiliates,
which are sites linking to yours, and your marketing effectiveness. It helps
you make decisions about how to invest your time and money. This tool allows
you to insert code into your 'Congratulations and thank you' page
to track which affiliates are making you the most money and which marketing
ads give you the highest conversions.
You will need to get the code and
tracking system from a third party. We have a list of links to tracking programs
in Step 4 below.
- Click the 'Edit Store' tab, then 'Tracking Codes'.
- Insert your tracking codes into
the text boxes provided. You do not have to insert code in all the boxes.

You can use various third parties that just require that you insert code on
the payment completion page. An example of this would be: Kowabunga.
NOTE: You can put
multiple tracking codes in each of the boxes if needed. Just make sure you insert
the codes one after another and not midway through a code.
If you want to track values, we also
provide you with the variable needed for the code you copy and paste into your
site. The values are:
- To track the order value insert
[ordervalue]
- To track the order id [orderid]
- To track the total items in the
order [totalitems]
You are not required to insert all
of these, only what's required by the code. For example, say you have this code
to insert:

You would then insert the variables

Whatever code you choose should have
instructions on where to insert the variables.
