What is Recommend Products?
You can suggest up to 3 additional items to display on each product page. The recommended products are displayed at the bottom of the product pages you select.
How to Find the Recommend Products Feature
- Select the site you'd like to edit from your Dashboard page, then click the 'Edit Store' tab.
- Click 'Products' ->'Recommend Products'.
Selecting Products to Recommend
Once you've opened the Recommend Products Feature, you need to select the product that you want your recommendations to appear with. This product is the main attraction on the page and the recommended products appear below the product description.
- Choose the catalog in which your main product is located from the drop down menu.
- Once you've selected the catalog, choose the product from the drop down menu.
You'll then see your selected product on the left. Any products that are recommended with this item will be shown/added on the right.
- In the 'Recommend Products From' drop down menu, choose the catalog containing products you want to recommend with your selected product.
All products in the chosen catalog will be listed. The product's price, sale price, and, if enabled, inventory will be listed beside the item. Also, when the cursor hovers over the name of the product, a thumbnail image of the item will be displayed.
- To recommend a product, click the
to the right of the item.
The recommended product will then be listed under 'Recommended Products' above (beside the 'Selected Product').
- Once you've selected all the products you'd like to recommend (up to a maximum of 3), click 'Save'.
NOTE: If you've enabled inventory management and a recommended product is out-of-stock, whether or not the out-of-stock item is displayed depends on your inventory settings.
Removing Recommended Products
- In the Recommend Products feature, choose your 'Selected Product' (Steps 1-2 from above).
- Click the 'Remove' link beside the items you no longer want to recomend.
- Click 'Save'.
